Sheetz recently opened two new locations, one in Bel Air, Maryland, and the other in Findlay, Ohio. The Maryland location opened July 24 on Fountain Green Road (MD-543) at the Hickory Bypass intersection of US 1, reported local outlet WMAR.
The Ohio location opened July 25. “This store opening is part of Sheetz’s continued expansion into Findlay as construction also began late last year on Sheetz’s future $169 million distribution and food manufacturing facility in the city,” reported Ohio news outlet WFIN.
RaceTrac opened a new location in Texas recently. “RaceTrac is proud to announce the grand opening of our newest store now serving guests at the crossroads of Texas and Arkansas. … With spacious fueling lanes, a wide variety of grab-n-go favorites, and unbeatable RaceTrac experience you know and love, store #2663 is ready to serve the Texarkana community and travelers,” the retailer posted on LinkedIn.
Weigel’s over the weekend opened its first Weigel’s Auto Spa in Tennessee. “Designed to serve the modern convenience guest, the new Auto Spa offers a seamless, tech-forward car wash experience directly tied into Weigel’s broader ecosystem of fuel, food and digital reward,” the retailer said in a press release.
Weigel’s said members of the MyWeigel’s Rewards program will earn loyalty points with every wash. The Auto Spa is part of Weigel’s “ongoing strategy to extend its convenience offering into full-service guest solutions, driven by loyalty and digital infrastructure.”
In South Carolina, Refuel opened its doors in Bluffton last week. “We’re proud to announce the grand opening of our newest Refuel location at 150 Parkside Commons—your one-stop destination for fuel, snacks and a sparkling clean car wash. Joining the Bluffton community marks an exciting milestone in our growth, and we’re incredibly grateful to our dedicated team whose hard work made this launch possible,” Refuel said on LinkedIn.
Also in South Carolina, Minuteman Food Mart has begun construction on store #61, located in Aynor. “This highly anticipated site will bring an elevated convenience experience to the area—anchored by a first-of-its-kind partnership with Biggby Coffee,” the retailer said in a press release sent to NACS.
Meanwhile, Wawa opened its first location in Louisville, Kentucky last week. “Thank you to our new associates, local officials, partners and friends for the support! We're open 24/7 with fresh food and friendly faces! We can't wait to serve you, Louisville!” Wawa posted on LinkedIn.
