BP is opening its largest BP Pulse EV Charging hub this week near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), according to a press release sent to NACS. The Inglewood, California, location features 48 ultrafast EV charging bays and onsite amenities including a lounge, vending machines, restrooms and free Wi-Fi.
The site was partially funded by a $2 million grant from the California Energy Commission (CEC). BP said the LAX hub is designed to meet the needs of ride-hail drivers, local EV drivers and rental car customers.
“This launch builds on previously announced plans by BP Pulse to build hubs near airports and other high-demand locations in collaboration with Hertz,” the company said.
Over at Pilot, the retailer said it has been adding new locations, remodeling more of its stores, expanding its EV network and hiring 7,500 team members this summer, per a press release. The retailer completed renovations to 11 travel centers in the second quarter, and has added 36 new Pilot locations since March, growing Pilot’s EV network with locations on major routes across 35 states.

In Texas, Kent Kwik is building a new Kent Kwik store in Crowley, per a press release.
“Set to open in late fall of 2025, this location is more than just your typical convenience store. This store will feature Kent Kwik favorites: a full-service deli with fresh, made-to-order food, convenient beer and ice caves, a 24-hour Kent Car Wash, and one of the features we’re most excited about, the Kent Kwik drive-thru,” the company said.
Earlier this month, NACS Daily reported that Yesway opened four new-to-industry Allsup's stores in the second quarter of 2025. The stores are in Blanchard, Eufaula and Krebs (McAlester), Oklahoma, as well as Los Lunas, New Mexico.
“With these new openings, Yesway has now completed 86 new stores or major rebuilds over the past four years, a remarkable accomplishment that underscores its disciplined investment strategy and unwavering focus on long-term market leadership,” it said.
