Following storms and wildfires that caused devastation across the Midwest and South, Maverik donated $15,000 to the American Red Cross of Oklahoma’s Tulsa chapter, according to a press release. The retailer said the contribution will directly support vital relief efforts and the Red Cross in providing critical resources, including shelter, food and emergency supplies, to individuals and families in need of assistance.

“Our hearts go out to all of the residents who have been impacted by these wildfires,” said Maverik’s CEO and chief adventure guide, Crystal Maggelet. “At Maverik, we believe that being a responsible neighbor means more than just words; it requires action. That’s why, with a deep sense of community spirit, we are committed to providing tangible support to those affected by these wildfires, hoping to aid in the rebuilding process.”

In other recent Maverik news, Maverik recently launched a new version of its rewards app. The update features “a fresh, intuitive design, enhanced accessibility, improved performance and an upgraded location map, all designed to deliver a more seamless user experience,” the company said.

Maverik said the app’s redesigned user interface makes it easier for Maverik Adventure Club and Nitro members to easily access deals, freebies, benefits and features, including Nitro Mobile Pay. The upgraded location map allows users to quickly find and favorite their go-to Maverik stores, while new performance and accessibility enhancements ensure a faster, smoother and more reliable app experience, Maverik said.
