Casey’s General Stores will replace Wells Fargo as the naming rights partner for the arena at the Iowa Events Center, reported the Des Moines Register. Wells Fargo Arena will become the Casey’s Center on July 1, 2025, when the venue’s contract with Wells Fargo expires. The partnership is set for a 10-year period.

“As Casey’s evolves, we are bringing bigger, bolder partnerships to life to have a greater impact with our team, guests and communities. I can’t think of a better way to do that than welcoming Casey’s Center to Des Moines in July 2025,” said Casey’s CEO, Darren Rebelez, via a LinkedIn post. “This is the hub of nearly 200 events each year and Casey’s wants to be a force multiplier for what’s happening here, and across the region. And, yes, we’re bringing our iconic, handmade pizza to Casey’s Center—I can’t wait to celebrate the first slice!”

"This venue holds significant importance for many across Iowa, the Midwest, and beyond, and we’re grateful to be part of the popular sporting and entertainment events hosted here,” said Angela Connolly, chair of the Polk County Board of Supervisors. Polk County owns the Iowa Events Center and arena. "Casey’s has a deep history in the state of Iowa and is ingrained in communities across the state and beyond."

In July, Casey’s agreed to purchase Fikes Wholesale, owner of 198 CEFCO Convenience Stores. The all-cash transaction totaled $1.145 billion.

The proposed transaction will increase Casey’s footprint to nearly 2,900 stores, adding 148 additional stores in Texas, which Casey’s describes as a “highly strategic market” for the retailer, as well as 50 stores in Alabama, Florida and Mississippi. In addition to the retail stores and dealer locations, the transaction includes a fuel terminal and a commissary to support the Texas stores.
