Cintas Corporation named Maverik as the 2024 America’s Best Restroom contest winner.
“Maverik’s restrooms deserve recognition for their commitment to cleanliness and comfort, with sparkling fixtures, spacious stalls, and fresh amenities that make each pit stop along your adventure a pleasant experience. Maverik’s restrooms go the extra mile with touches like adventurous décor and even family-friendly features in over 500 stores across 13 western states,” Cintas said in a press release.
“It truly is an honor to be recognized by Cintas and our customers for creating restrooms with a hygienic and comforting atmosphere,” said Chief Retail Officer of Maverik, Ryan Boothe. “We’re grateful to our dedicated team members who recognize the role clean restrooms play in our customers’ experience as they head out on their adventures and for their hard work to maintain a superior level of cleanliness.”
The 23rd annual contest celebrates businesses “that develop and maintain innovative restroom facilities,” said Cintas. Maverik was among ten finalists that were evaluated based on cleanliness, visual appeal, innovation, functionality, and unique design elements. The public voted for the ten finalists between July 15 and August 16.
“We’re thrilled to crown Maverik - Adventure’s First Stop as America’s Best Restroom,” said John Rudy, senior director of marketing at Cintas. “They have set a high standard of cleanliness in their stores and restrooms, enhancing the overall customer experience. With touchless fixtures, spacious stalls, and family-friendly features, Maverik goes the extra mile, turning every pit stop into a pleasant adventure.”
Kentucky-based Hop Shops, owned by Valor Oil, was also a candidate for the competition, with its internet-sensation disco bathrooms.
Hop Shops once hosted a disco bathroom wedding and over the summer added a disco bathroom 30th wedding anniversary party for a couple from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to its list of events.
