TravelCenters of America opened its newest travel center in Mineral Wells, West Virginia, located off Interstate 77. Amenities at the location include a 24/7 IHOP, a Par Mar Kitchen, five diesel fueling positions with Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) on all lanes, six gasoline fueling positions, 104 truck parking spaces, 10 Reserve-It truck parking spaces, five private showers, laundry facilities, a pet area, and a driver’s lounge.
Weigel’s celebrated the grand reopening of its refreshed store #49, located on Middlebrook Pike in Knoxville, Tennessee. Weigel’s said the grand reopening event brought the neighborhood together for a day filled with fun activities as attendees participated in a Cup Pong challenge and competed for free chips.
“The event was a hit with the local community, featuring live music, games and giveaways as we proudly unveiled our upgraded store,” the company said in a press release.
Thorntons opened its newest Chicagoland store which is its 94th location in the state of Illinois. Thorntons said this new 5,500-square-foot facility is set on 3.17 acres and features a number of amenities to serve on-the-go guests, including self-checkout and freshly made burritos, pizza, and sandwiches.
During the opening celebration, guests received a Thorntons gift card. Thorntons leadership also presented Northern Illinois Food Bank with a $2,500 donation.
Royal Farms announced the opening of its latest location in Hampton, Virginia. The store will be open 24/7. To commemorate the opening, Royal Farms will host a special, ticketed “Get Ready to ROFO” soft opening event on November 25 and 26. During the event, customers are invited to tour the new store and enjoy a complimentary meal from the soft opening menu.
