Refuel Operating Company recently held its 2nd annual golf tournament in support of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Refuel said it “was an overwhelming success,” with the event raising $535,000. “Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and industry partners, this event helped us surpass a major milestone—raising over $1 million for LLS,” according to a LinkedIn post.
“This year, we had the privilege of spotlighting our honored hero, Zach, a courageous survivor of T-Cell Leukemia. Diagnosed just four years ago at the age of 10, Zach’s unwavering strength and resilience continue to inspire and motivate us all,” Refuel said.
Minuteman Food Mart partnered with Soldiers and Airmen Assistance Fund National Guard, “whose mission is to protect the well-being and provide assistance to Army and Air families. Between our 62 MFM locations, our community raised over $16,800 for the SAAF National Guard,” the company said via a LinkedIn post.
Minuteman Food Mart said its 2024 Boots donation campaign runs until the end of the year.
Tiger Fuel Company recently presented a $20,000 check to Leashes of Valor, an organization that provides service dogs to wounded and disabled post-9/11 veterans. Tiger Fuel said on LinkedIn: “we had a wonderful visit with Leashes of Valor, the charitable partner of this year's Anderson Golf Classic, which was held at The Golf Club at Mattaponi Springs. A hearty thank you to everyone who planned, sponsored and played in the tournament!”
Stewart’s Shops made a $200,000 contribution to Saratoga Hospital in New York. “The hospital has done an excellent job providing quality healthcare and serving as an essential resource for Saratoga Springs and neighboring communities,” Stewart’s said in a press release.
“To maintain its commitment to providing quality care, Saratoga Hospital’s emergency department recently replaced its CT Scanner. The new scanner will assist the hospital in providing shorter wait times, faster diagnoses and more streamlined treatment planning. Those attributes are all critical for Saratoga Hospital to remain an essential resource for the region. We are proud to support those efforts,” said Stewart’s.
