Weigel’s announced that it recently donated to the Joy of Music School, a Knoxville-based nonprofit dedicated to providing free music education to children. The funds donated will help supply essential instruments and resources to the students, specifically going toward violins and MacBooks.
“We’re proud to support an organization like Joy of Music that’s dedicated to uplifting young people through music. By investing in instruments and educational tools, we hope to make a lasting impact in the lives of these talented students and contribute to the growth of Knoxville’s artistic community,” said Kurt Weigel, training and recruiting director for Weigel’s.
Weigel’s said the new violins will open up possibilities for budding string players, while the MacBooks will support both virtual and in-person learning, helping students expand their skills and access a broader world of musical resources.
On September 13, Weigel’s hosted the Weigel’s Annual Golf Tournament with the proceeds going toward the Weigel’s Foundation. The event raised more than $150,000, and the funds will directly benefit numerous charities in the region “making a real impact in the community we love,” the company said via a LinkedIn post.
In 2021, NACS visited Weigel’s to learn about its partnership with Smoky Mountain Service Dogs. Watch the video here.
