Weigel’s celebrated Cinco de Mayo this past weekend with special MyWeigel’s Rewards deals.

MyWeigel’s Rewards members enjoyed three complimentary treats and drinks, including Jarritos soda, Bimbo Sponch cookie and Monster Ultra Fiesta energy drink.

Billy Weigel, the owner of Weigel’s, expressed the company’s excitement, saying, “As a brand deeply rooted in our local communities, we were thrilled to embrace the festive spirit of Cinco de Mayo with our valued MyWeigel’s Rewards members. This event was our way of expressing gratitude to our loyal patrons while also commemorating the cultural significance of this special day.”

Other retailers also helped their customers indulge in the holiday with deals and limited time menu offers.

Rutter’s added two new burritos to its menu: beef burritos with authentic Mexican flavors and pork carnitas with special hatch mild green chiles and jalapenos. The c-store partnered with Tres Picosos, an authentic Mexican burrito company, to provide “affordable, gourmet level burritos to Rutter’s locations.”

“Our customers clearly love the Mexican flavor profile, and we’re committed to enriching this aspect of our menu. That’s why partnering with Tres Picosos was an effortless decision,” said Philip Santini, Rutter’s senior director of advertising and food service.

Sheetz waived the delivery fee on orders of tacos, taco salads or burritos on both May 5 and May 6, reported WPXI News.
