A number of convenience store brands have opened new locations this past week.
Haffner’s announced the grand reopening of its newly rebuilt location in Gilbert, New Hampshire. The new store is open 24 hours and features two New England brands: Dunkin’ and Anchor Deli. The retailer also noted that it offers “diverse food and beverages to cater to every taste and preference.”
"Our goal with this new location was to create a hub of convenience and quality for the Gilford community and visitors to the Lakes Region," said Brian Koenig, chief retail officer for Haffner's. "We are excited to provide an upgraded experience with a 24-hour store, trusted food options and comprehensive fuel services."
Jeff Black, CEO of Haffner's, added, "The launch of this new facility is a testament to our commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. We are proud to bring a location of this caliber to Gilford, enhancing the experience for our customers and supporting the local community."
The Gilford location opened its doors on May 23 and a formal grand reopening celebration is scheduled for later.
TravelCenters of America announced the opening of three new TA Express locations in St. Rose, Louisiana; Jonesboro, Arkansas; and Grambling, Louisiana. The company stated that all three locations offer a wide variety of amenities for traveling motorists and professional drivers including fuel, convenience items and at least one dining option for drivers.
TA Express St. Rose features five diesel fueling positions with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), five gasoline fueling positions (coming soon), 60 truck parking spaces, 20 car parking spaces, three private showers and laundry facilities.
TA Express Jonesboro, a franchise location, features a KFC restaurant, six diesel fueling positions with DEF, 16 gasoline fueling positions, 90 truck parking spaces, 86 car parking spaces, seven private showers, laundry facilities, CAT scale and will soon feature a dog park.
TA Express Grambling, a franchise site, include amenities such as hot deli foods, six diesel fueling positions with DEF, 16 gasoline fueling positions, 31 truck parking spaces (more coming soon), 25 car parking spaces, two private showers and a dog park.
In the Chicago area, Thornton’s announced the opening of its latest store in Mundelein, Illinois. The store is set to open on Friday, May 31 and will be the retailer’s 94th store in the state. The new store will be 4,400 square feet and feature self-checkout stations, freshly made burritos and sandwiches prepared in an onsite kitchen, bean-to-cup coffee, fountain beverages with nugget ice, LED lighting and 24 auto fueling positions.
The first ExtraMile convenience store opened in the state of Louisiana, according to a LinkedIn post by Jennifer Black, franchise development specialist at ExtraMile. It is also the first ExtraMile to open with the brand’s new Texaco image.
Coen Markets also opened a new store in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Clariton Blvd. The company invited guests to try new menu items, check out its Creation Station coffee bar and spin a wheel for the chance to win free food, drinks and merchandise. Additionally, the retailer said that people who sign up for its rewards program, ClubCoen, and pump at least one gallon of gas this week will earn 50 cents off per gallon on their next visit.
