Following its acquisition in early 2023, BP is in the process of adding its BP or Amoco brand to all TravelCenters of America sites east of the Rocky Mountains. So far, the company has converted 15 sites, with plans for 50 more by the end of 2024.

The most recent site to receive the forecourt change was located in Georgia, which installed a fresh Amoco canopy.

“Exciting News! Our TravelCenters of America site in Georgia just got a major upgrade with a fresh Amoco canopy! We've converted 15 sites, with plans for 50 more by year-end. Soon, all TA sites within our East of Rockies footprint will rock the BP or Amoco brand!” BP said in a LinkedIn post.

The $1.3 billion acquisition of the TA company was finalized in May 2023. BP stated that TA’s strategically located network of highway sites complements BP’s existing predominantly off-highway convenience and mobility business in the United States, enabling TA and BP to offer fleets and consumers a seamless nationwide service.

In 2017, BP announced that it was reintroducing the Amoco brand to the United States, which had not been seen in over a decade. The brand was brought back to give BP marketers a “complimentary retail offering in cities where there could be additional growth opportunities.
