Weigel’s recently participated in a “poignant tribute” at the Chattanooga National Cemetery in Tennessee, helping to place memorial wreaths on over 64,000 veterans’ graves, according to a press release. Weigel’s team members contributed wreaths through Wreaths Across Chattanooga. Weigel’s ensured “that every fallen hero’s sacrifice was acknowledged during a time of year centered on family, community and gratitude,” the retailer said.

“Our veterans have given us so much, and it’s a privilege to take this moment to reflect on their sacrifices. By placing these wreaths, we hope to honor their memory and inspire others to remember the values of service and courage that unite us as a community,” said Kurt Weigel.

“As the holiday season reminds us of the importance of family, togetherness and gratitude, we are humbled to stand alongside our neighbors in remembering the legacy of our veterans,” said Weigel’s.

Circle K partnered with Feeding America to “donate over 1.4 million sandwiches, burgers and burritos among other items to affiliated food banks and food pantries,” according to a press release.

"Families feel an extra burden this time of year as they balance their everyday household and food costs with added holiday expenses, and they should not have to choose," said Mette Uglebjerg, Circle K senior vice president global food and marketing. "Feeding America plays an essential role year-round in helping families in need stay nourished, and we are very proud to support their efforts and our communities, especially during the holiday season.”

Circle K said it will work with the Feeding America network of local food banks and partner agencies throughout December to distribute the donation.
