Rutter’s announced the opening of its 87th store in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. It is the second opening of 2024, the York, Pennsylvania-based company said.
The new Rutter’s location measures over 10,250 square feet, is staffed with 50 employees and is open 24 hours per day. The store will feature Rutter’s 29-degree beer cave, and sell wine and Spiked Slushies. In addition, the store will feature Rutter’s “best-in-class food menu, with billions of Made For You combinations and exclusive deals for Rutter’s VIP rewards customers,” Rutter’s said.
For customers looking to fuel up, the new location offers 16 auto-fueling positions and six commercial fueling lanes with Rutter’s Top Tier certified gasoline, supreme 93 gasoline and Rutter’s premium diesel. The store also will have the traditional grades of gasoline, along with ethanol free, unleaded 15 and flex fuel. The forecourt will also offer premium auto diesel, kerosene and off-road diesel. For commercial drivers, high-speed truck diesel and in-lane DEF will be available.
In celebration of the opening, Rutter’s Children’s Charities has pledged to donate $1,000 each to the following organizations: Vigilant Hose Company, Boys and Girls Club of Chambersburg and Shippensburg and Shippensburg Produce Outreach.
Rutter’s also kicked off its 2024 High Roller Summer Sweepstakes for its VIP members. Starting on April 29, the retailer will be giving away over $300,000 in prizes to its VIP customers over the summer months. One lucky VIP customer will win $25,000. To participate, customers must be registered as a Rutter’s VIP rewards member.
For each participating item purchased at a Rutter’s location, customers will get the chance to spin a casino-style machine for a 1 in 4 chance of winning an instant prize or sweepstakes entry. Instant prizes include free food and drinks from participating companies, including Coke, Pepsi, Red Bull, Celsius, Hershey, Rutter’s Dairy and more.
Larger instant prizes include $50 Rutter’s gift cards, $1,000 cash, free Snapple for a year, free Kunzler hot dogs for a year, free Rutter’s coffee for a year, free Mountain Dew for a year and free Powerade for a year. Sweepstakes entries also offer a chance to win free fuel for a year, or the grand prize of $25,000.
