The Spinks Family Foundation announced that $512,000 has been awarded in grants to local non-profit organizations, according to a company press release. In March 2023, the Foundation opened its doors to grant proposals from non-profit organizations across the Carolinas. Twenty-two applications were submitted, and, after meticulous review, 16 organizations were selected as recipients.

Some of the non-profit organizations receiving grants from the company are Camperdown Academy, Compass of the Carolina, The Courage Center, FAVOR Upstate, First Impression of SC and Furman University.

Additionally, the Foundation provided gifts to Community Foundation, Unity Park Bridge and United Way.

"We are incredibly humbled by the dedication and passion demonstrated by the many non-profit organizations in our communities," said Stewart Spinks, founder of Spinx. "The Spinks Family Foundation is honored to support these organizations and their missions to make our communities better places to live and work."

According to the press release, these grants will allow the organizations to continue their vital work serving their communities.

The Spinks Family Foundation accepts large gift requests of $10,000 and above once a year.  The application period will open on March 1 and close on March 30.  The board will review grants and awards will be made September 15.

The Wills Group has also invested in its local community. On September 11, the company hosted its 7th annual Blackie Wills Golf Classic, with all proceeds benefiting the Blackie Wills Community Leadership Fund to invest in local communities. The company raised over $374,000 to support community programs.
