During the company’s annual Golf and Clays Classic charitable fundraising tournament, Yesway raised $600,000 to benefit local charities, civic organizations, school districts, military and veterans groups and first responders including local police, firefighters, EMS and sheriffs' departments in the communities that Yesway and Allsup's stores serve.

Many of these organizations were recognized publicly during check presentation ceremonies at Yesway and Allsup's store grand opening events throughout 2023.

Beneficiaries of the 2023 tournament include Operation Homefront, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to help military families, as well as the Christian Outdoor Alliance, Walk In Their Shoes, whose aim is to put $5 million worth of shoes on the feet of disadvantaged youth, and other organizations, including initiatives to support local playgrounds.

"I would like to thank our partners and suppliers for joining us in support of the communities our devoted customers, team members, neighbors and fans call home. We are grateful for their tremendous generosity," said Tom Trkla, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Yesway.

In other charitable news, CEFCO Convenience Stores and its parent company, the Fikes Companies, raised over $450,000 through its annual Hackers-R-Us charity golf tournament.

In addition, Savannah, Georgia-based Parker’s Kitchen raised $328,000 to support public and private schools in local communities during its 11th annual Fueling the Community charity golf tournament.
