Oreo announced that it is returning to the big game in 2024, the cookie’s first appearance at the Super Bowl in over a decade. The brand also hints at a larger campaign coming throughout the year.

In 2013, Oreo aired a 30-second in-game spot, “Whisper Fight,” and posted in real time on social media, tweeting “You can still dunk in the dark” when the lights went out during the game.

In 2024, the Mondelēz International brand “promises a spot that puts a playful twist on the cookie's iconic role in pop culture.” A 30-second spot will air during the second quarter on February 11, 2024.

"The Oreo brand is an American icon that has been a playful part of pop culture for years, and we are thrilled to share our new creative with our fans on the biggest marketing stage there is," shared Michelle Deignan, vice president, Oreo, United States. "With this iconic ad, we'll be kicking off a momentous 2024 for milk's favorite cookie, so be sure to stay tuned for more exciting things coming throughout the next year."

Nerds also announced that the candy brand will be appearing at the big game for the first time. The candy’s debut marks the first time that its parent company, Ferrara, will showcase a product during the game. The commercial is slated to join Oreo during the second quarter of the game.
