Reddit users who have long posted the question, “Why are there no 7-Elevens in Germany” are about to find their queries outdated.

7-Eleven International LLC (“7IN”), the master franchisor of the 7-Eleven brand worldwide, announced that it is seeking suitable Master Franchise candidates who wish to participate in the development of new 7-Eleven locations in parts of Western Europe.

7IN said consumers in Europe, especially in Germany, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom, should now also benefit from this. Other European countries such as Austria and Switzerland are also potential markets.

7-Eleven opened its first store in Israel in January 2023. The company has more than 83,000 stores in 19 countries and regions

The potential in Germany alone is great: German sales in this segment will amount to around 10.53 billion euros in 2023.

“Convenience food is a global trend and a growing market. With a high-quality range of fresh food and beverages, 7-Eleven is already a leader in this segment in Asia and North America. We have recognized that the need for high-quality convenience food is also great in Europe. That’s why the European market is now a leading expansion area for the 7-Eleven brand. We want to become the one-stop shop where people can quickly and conveniently get quality food and beverages despite their busy lives,” said Ken Wakabayashi, 7-Eleven International Co-CEO.
