IRVING, Texas—7-Eleven announced the completion of a Ford Mustang “Model 711,” a sports car that was created by automotive restoration shop Galpin Auto Sports in Los Angeles, and customers have a chance to win the car by purchasing select items at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores.

The 2021 Mustang’s exterior features a classic racer wrap in 7-Eleven-brand colors with green rims and a red under glow to “mirror the iconic, neon 7-Eleven sign that glimmers after dark.” There is also a night owl emblem on the front grill as a nod to 7-Eleven’s late-night snacking culture.

The interior has custom leather seats with red, orange and green stripes, and there is a Slurpee drink gear shift. The car even comes with a custom pizza snack holder, which sits directly next to cup holders that can fit a Big Gulp or Slurpee, and it smells like 7-Eleven coffee thanks to a custom-made OG To-Go Coffee Since 1964 air freshener.

“We know our customers have an affinity toward car culture, so building a one-of-a-kind car inspired by our most iconic products was a no brainer,” said Marissa Jarratt, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at 7-Eleven.

“We had hundreds of thousands of 7-Eleven car fanatics and customers interact with the voting of customization elements for the Model 711, and now one lucky customer still has a chance to win these unbelievable wheels. We can’t wait to see the places they’ll go and the many #CarsOf7Eleven pics they’ll take,” Jarratt said.

Customers have until May 24 to enter to win the car. They can enter by purchasing select products via 7Rewards, Speedy Rewards or through the 7NOW delivery app or through social media.

Meanwhile, 7-Eleven has launched its Brands with Heart event, which is a program designed to give brands the opportunity to enter a new retail channel and introduce products to 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes customers across the U.S.

For the fourth year, emerging brands are invited to make their case for why they deserve a spot on the shelves of 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores. Whether a product is ready to go to market or is still up-and-coming, all brands are invited to apply.

7-Eleven is looking to diversify its product offerings beyond the traditional c-store assortment and put innovative products on the shelves that meet the needs of its on-the-go customers. This includes a variety of snacks, beverages, confectionery and better-for-you items.

“It is our mission to help these rising brands grow, and we’re excited to see—and taste—the many innovative products that participate. We're committed to elevating our product assortment for customers who are always seeking new and delicious items that fit into their busy lifestyles," said Jack Stout, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer at 7-Eleven.

Following the application process, stand out brands will be invited to participate in an in-store test at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores located in their region. Fan-favorite brands from each market will move on to the Brands with Heart showcase where they will present their products to a panel of leaders from the company.

Selected brands from the showcase will be paired with 7-Eleven leaders for coaching, mentoring and training to prepare them for the opportunity to secure a place on shelves at participating stores throughout the U.S.

Brands can enter online, and submissions close May 31.
