YORK, Pa.—Rutter’s opened the doors to its third new build of 2022, a c-store topping 8,400 square feet Martinsburg, West Virginia, with 14 fueling positions and four high-speed diesel fueling lanes.
This new location will be open 24 hours a day and feature Rutter’s award-winning food menu and 29-degree beer cave, large restrooms, free WiFi and more. In addition, the Martinsburg store will employ up to 50 people, and new team members will start at $17 an hour.
To mark the opening of this new Rutter’s location, Rutter’s Children’s Charities will be donating $2,500 to the Boys and Girls Club of the Eastern Panhandle, along with $1,000 each to the Hedgesville Volunteer Fire Company, Bedington Volunteer Fire Department and Berkeley County CCAP/ Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.
Customers also can choose from a wide variety of top-tier certified gasoline options. The new store will offer premium auto diesel, as well as kerosene and off-road diesel. For trucks and commercial vehicle customers, there will be dedicated high-speed premium truck diesel pumps and in-lane DEF.
Earlier this month, Rutter’s announced that it raised its starting wage to $17 an hour. This is the sixth time the c-store has increased its starting wage over the past three years. The last starting wage increase was late 2021 when it raised its starting wage to $16 an hour. The company also gave its corporate employees a 10% raise.
