QuikTrip Location in Colorado

ALEXANDRIA, Va.—QuikTrip last week welcomed its first location in Colorado, part of the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based retailer’s push to establish 70 convenience stores in the Western state.

Located in Firestone, Colorado, off of Interstate 25, the latest QuikTrip includes an expanded QT Kitchen menu with made-to-order food and specialty drinks. Customers looking for snacks and meals also will find can QT snackles, including fresh- made donuts, salads, wraps, roller grill items and pizza by the slice.

To celebrate the June 16 grand opening, QuikTrip offered discounts on fuel sold at the new Firestone location, with prices below $3.50 a gallon for regular, K99.com shared.

“We are excited to introduce QuikTrip in Colorado with our first store in Firestone. We look forward to bringing our unique QuikTrip brand and culture to our new community," Aisha Jefferson-Smith, corporate communications manager for QuikTrip, said in a press release. “By entering this new market, this allows us to create meaningful connections with our new local customers in the Denver metro area and serve travelers in this busy part of the country.”

QT fans excited about the retailer’s arrival in Colorado have shared their praise in Google reviews.

“As a Tulsa, Oklahoma native (QT origin story), all I can say is that I nearly cried when I walked into this location. Beautiful layout, friendly staff, so so clean, and sweet tea that reminds me of home. The manager on duty, Cale, was so kind amd welcoming. It made the 45-minute drive from Windsor 100% worth it,” Lyndsey Webster shared on Google.

Wrote reviewer Robert Duncan, “Today was the grand opening! Loved the free fountain drink the low gas price. And the cleanest restrooms!”

QT plans future Colorado locations in Denver, Bennett, Parker and Thornton.

Last month, QuikTrip opened its second location in Alabama, in Calera. That location features QT’s new travel center design, created specifically for highly traveled areas of the U.S. that are also within reach of a QT Distribution Center for access to fresh food. The 8,000-square-feet travel stores have a larger QT Kitchen and more diesel bays and gas pumps.

Founded in 1958, QuikTrip has more than 900 stores in 16 states and employs over 24,000 people. QuikTrip ranked No. 2 on the Fuel Market News 2021 Fuel Leaders list, a ranking of the top 50 fuel brands in the convenience retailing industry.
