ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Volta Oil is hosting its Purple Pump Up campaign, the largest convenience store cause-marketing campaign for the Alzheimer’s Association in the New England region, reports the Boston Business Journal. The campaign is expected to reach more than $1 million in fundraising since its inception this year. This is the 11th year of the fundraiser.

The seven-week campaign is being held at 18 Rapid Refill Convenience and Garrett’s Family Market locations throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. The campaign runs through today, July 18.

In recognition of the Alzheimer’s Association’s “The Longest Day” fundraising and awareness effort, locations donated 5 cents from every gallon of gas and diesel between June 20 and 21. The two-day effort raised over $178,000 in 2021 alone.

The money raised through Purple Pump Up goes directly to Alzheimer’s Association Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter, funding Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
