LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Thorntons is partnering with RCR Racing to sponsor the No. 42 car at the Coke Zero Sugar 400, according to a news release. The Coke Zero Sugar 400 will take place August 26-28 at the Daytona International Speedway. The driver of No. 42 is Ty Dillon.

As part of the partnership, the No. 42 car will be onsite at the Thorntons location in Memphis, Indiana, on July 13. Thorntons is inviting the community to see the car first-hand.

Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Thorntons, part of the bp portfolio, operates more than 200 stores in six states: Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee and Florida.

In May, Thorntons landed on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Retailers for 2022 at No. 3 out of five convenience stores. Newsweek asked shoppers how likely they were to recommend a retailer to friends and family as well as how they ranked the retailer on factors including price, selection and overall atmosphere. Thorntons received a score of 87.47.
