ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Conexxus will present a webinar, “Payment Industry Migration to 8-digit BINS,” tomorrow at 12 p.m. ET.
Effective April 2022, all stakeholders in the payment industry should be prepared to support both six- and eight-digit bank identification numbers (BINs) associated with payment networks. As more stakeholders adopt eight-digit BINs, it will no longer be possible to rely on the first six digits of the Primary Account Number (PAN) for authorization, routing and transaction clearing.
Supporting eight-digit BINs may be standard for some businesses today, but it could require development and process changes for others. Each payment network publishes operating rules, best practices and requirements that should be analyzed for impacts, necessary updates and financial implications on each of the stakeholders.
The presentation will provide awareness and addresses the leading issues retailers should note when migrating to the eight-digit BIN requirements from various payment networks.
The webinar will be presented by Itai Sela, CEO of B2 Group of Companies, and Clint Cady, partner at W. Capra Consulting.
The cost is free for Conexxus365 subscribers. If you’re not a subscriber, you can sign up for the Conexus free content plan or purchase a Conexxus365 subscription for $9.95/month. Register today.
