GREENVILLE, S.C.—The Spinx Company has been named the No. 1 Best Place to Work in South Carolina.

The publishers of SC Biz News and the Best Companies Group join each year to produce the Best Places to Work in South Carolina program. This initiative is dedicated to identifying and recognizing South Carolina’s most innovative and top-notch employers.

The ranked companies were recognized at a reception last week at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, and the rankings will be published in the September/October 2022 issue of SCBIZ magazine.

The Spinx Company is based in Greenville, South Carolina, and has more than 80 locations, 45 car washes and 1,500 associates statewide. It is the largest privately held retailer headquartered in the state.

This year, Spinx is celebrating 50 years in the industry. Spinks spoke with NACS Daily on how he began the company in 1972, the changes he’s seen in the industry over the past five decades and what he thinks is in store for the industry’s future.
