M&M's in a Jar

ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Hershey’s and M&M’s have been ranked as one of the top five best brands in America by YouGov. Hershey’s ranked No. 4, and M&M’S came in at No. 5. The YouGov BrandIndex data analysis was based on interviews with thousands of Americans about how they feel about over 2,000 brands.

"Our consumers have considered M&M'S a favorite for more than 80 years, and to be ranked among the very best brands in America is especially exciting," said Sarah Long, Mars Wrigley's chief marketing officer for North America. "This is a wonderful way to cap off a milestone year for M&M'S and makes us even more eager to bring more smiles to our fans around the world in 2022 and beyond."

In a recent interview, Blas Maquivar, president of global emerging markets for Mars Wrigley, said the company has accelerated the building of digital capabilities across its markets, and it has transformed its portfolio to satisfy the consumer from that digital angle. In India, the company launched an online Snickers store in partnership with Swiggy, and it doubled down on its My M&M’S digital store, where customers can send their photograph or a loved one’s photograph and get it printed on M&M’S.

The Hershey Company was recently recognized as the No. 1 top female-friendly company by Forbes Magazine. The confectionary company topped the list of Forbes’ "World's Top Female Friendly Companies," spearheading a roster of 300 honorees. The company has 48.1% gender diversity around the world, 37.4% of the company’s “people leaders” globally are women and the company’s board of directors has 42% gender diversity.

Hershey also invests in developing leaders in the convenience industry.  The company is the sole endower of the NACS Leadership for Success Program, a weeklong development program that provides rising leaders an opportunity to discover personal strengths they can use to grow their career while creating a more positive, profitable environment within their company.
