CHARLOTTE, N.C—Circle K, the largest U.S. retailer of company-operated convenience stores, is rolling out two new promotions for the busy summer travel season, the company announced.

AAA Travel predicts nine out of 10 Americans will take a road trip this Memorial Day weekend, a 60% increase over 2020. Circle K wants its Sip & Save beverage subscription and its Scan To Win fuel promo to make its stores the one-stop travel shop for the holiday weekend and all summer long.

Sip & Save is a new monthly beverage subscription program. As NACS Daily reported earlier this month, Sip & Save is a beverage subscription program that lets U.S. Circle K customers pay $5.99 a month and receive one Froster slushy, tea, coffee or Polar Pop fountain drink of their choice every day.

To bring the offer to life, Circle K is partnering with actor and comedian Kel Mitchell. “I am so excited to partner with Circle K for their new Sip & Save program for the summer. It felt like a natural fit to help them promote their new beverage subscription which, of course, includes orange soda Polar Pop,” said Mitchell.

Scan To Win is a summer fuel promotion that gives consumers a chance to save up to 99 cents per gallon and win thousands of instant daily prizes. People play the game by scanning the campaign QR code at participating stations, including branded fuel partners and Circle K Fuel branded locations.

The chain is partnering with tenured road trippers, Idle Theory BusThe Mom Trotter and Our Home on Wheels to encourage others to discover adventure on the road, whether it’s an icy cold beverage or fresh cup of coffee or fueling up with fun savings.

Both promotions run through July 5.
