KNOXVILLE, Tenn.—Pilot Flying J is gearing up for fall with new coffee flavors and a new color scheme for the Pilot Flying J Chevrolet, owned by NASCAR racing legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. and driven by Michael Annett, to celebrate the 3.6 million professional truck drivers who keep the U.S. economy moving.

Pilot Flying J Vice President Steve Vanderink helped to show off the car’s new look last week with Earnhardt and Annett. (Check out the reveal video.) September is Driver Appreciation month, and the branded No. 1 Pilot Flying J Chevrolet hits the track on August 28 at Daytona International Speedway. The National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is September 12-18.

Featured on the hood of the No. 1 Pilot Flying J Chevrolet is the saying “If you’ve got it, a trucker brought it” and on the rear of the car #ThankATrucker. The driver appreciation themed car aims to inspire fans to thank professional drivers for their hard work delivering the goods we all depend on.

“At JR Motorsports, we know the importance and value of our nation’s truck drivers. Our drivers travel the country to NASCAR Xfinity Series events, and the trailers they carry allow us to do our job on the track each week. We join Pilot Flying J in thanking all the men and women who keep our country moving every day. Take the time today to #ThankATrucker,” said Earnhardt.

“Pro drivers have carried us through this past year, delivering food, supplies and medicines around the country. They have been our heroes during the pandemic. We hope this Driver Appreciation month will help raise awareness of their sacrifices and inspire all of us to celebrate what they do,” said Vanderink.

Pilot Flying J is a supporter of Trucking Moves America Forward, formed in 2013 to educate the public and lawmakers on how critical the trucking industry is to America’s economy, and has donated $3 million to the group since its inception. This year, Pilot is donating $150,000 to the trucking group.

Meanwhile, Pilot Flying J has introduced Cinnabon Pumpkin Spice and Apple Cider cappuccino and will roll out Bourbon Pecan coffee and Apple Pie cold brew Sept. 7. Pumpkin Pie Spice creamer will be available for guests to make any cup perfectly pumpkin starting Sept. 17. These seasonal beverages will be offered at more than 600 participating Pilot Flying J U.S. locations through October until supplies last.

“We say if you can't beat the heat, then join us for a taste of fall,” said Jamie King, senior director of food and beverage for Pilot Flying J. “There’s more than just pumpkin in our fall line-up for those who want to branch out and try something new like our Bourbon Pecan coffee or Apple Pie cold brew.
