DES MOINES, Iowa—Kum & Go, the Iowa c-store retailer with 400-plus stores in 11 states, has partnered with RELEX Solutions, a provider of unified retail planning solutions, for unified supply chain and merchandising optimization, including replenishment, space and floor planning and forecasting, the companies announced.

RELEX will support Kum & Go’s goal of optimizing merchandise and supply chain practices through AI-based unified demand planning and category management.

Kum & Go selected RELEX for the provider’s unified solution that automates both supply chain and space management processes. Now, through the partnership, the chain will enhance its existing replenishment process and use RELEX’s On The Go mobility solution to enable mobile planogram review, drive store-level exception-based order review and ensure seamless interaction between merchandising and operations teams. Kum & Go will also expand its existing merchandising capabilities to enable easy performance-driven assortment and vendor collaboration decisions. For ongoing format changes, the system will act as a force multiplier moving forward.

Kevin Conniff, vice president of merchandise operations, planning and space for Kum & Go, stated, “RELEX supports our mission to deliver a positive in-store experience for our valued customers. This partnership not only allows us to modernize our supply chain and space planning processes but also delivers multiple benefits for our teams by bringing together merchandising and category management in a single solution.”
