Today Is National Coffee Day

C-stores nationwide invite customers to enjoy free or discounted java.

ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Today is National Coffee Day, the perfect day to get caffeinated for little or no cost, reports USA Today. This made-up holiday was first celebrated in Japan in 1983 and is still going strong, with many convenience stores and coffee shops providing free or discounted cups of joe to customers to celebrate.

Circle K is rewarding customers who use the chain’s mobile app with a free hot or iced coffee, any size.

At Cumberland Farms, shoppers who text the word COFFEE to 64827 will receive a digital coupon redeemable for a free hot or iced coffee. Those already in the chain’s database automatically received the offer this morning.

High’s stores will serve free cups of coffee to Rewards members all day, including the popular Pumpkin Spice flavor.

Kwik Trip Rewards program members will receive a free 12-ounce Karuba coffee and a free belVita Breakfast Biscuit. They can claim the offer by using the digital coupon that was automatically provided to rewards members.

At Love’s Travel Stops, shoppers can pick up any size coffee or hot beverage for $1 today, and when purchases are made through the Love’s Connect app, all proceeds go to Love’s annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals campaign. My Love Rewards members can use a free drink refill credit for the purchase, and Love’s will donate $1 on their behalf. Plus, today for the first time, customers can respond to Love’s social media posts with a photo of their own cup of Love’s coffee, and the chain will donate an additional dollar to CMN Hospitals.

MAPCO customers can pick up a complimentary 16-ounce cup of Cinnabon pumpkin spice cappuccino or bourbon pecan coffee (in limited stores) or MAPCO’s newly launched House Reserve blend all day today.

Pilot Flying J is giving guests a free cup of any hot or cold Pilot coffee. They may choose any size of the limited-time Nicaraguan, the new Vanilla Cold Brew, and, at select locations, the limited-time Pumpkin Maple Cappuccino.

At QuickChek, anyone can get a free 20-ounce hot or iced coffee when they download the chain's app and register for an account at www.quickchek.com/rewards

Sheetz is offering a free cold brew coffee—any size or flavor—to all customers who order through the Sheetz mobile app.

7-Eleven shoppers can get any size cup of java for $1 with the 7Rewards app. Customers can download the free app at www.7-eleven.com/7rewards, and check for deals as some special offers are regional.

Dunkin’ will be offering a free medium hot or iced coffee with any purchase at locations across the U.S.

Stewart's Shops customers will receive any size hot, iced or cold brew coffee at no charge at any of the chai’'s locations. Flavor choices include Stewart’s House Blend, French Vanilla, Hazelnut, Richer Roast, Blueberry Crumble, Maple French Toast, Seasonal Pumpkin Coffee and Decaf.

TravelCenters of America is providing professional drivers with a free cup of coffee at select TA, Petro Stopping Center and TA Express locations. Members of the UltraONE loyalty program can swipe their card at the program kiosk to receive a coupon for their free cup. All four flavors of TA’s World Blends Coffee will be available: Extreme, Columbian, High Mountain Arabica and the current seasonal flavor, Bourbon Pecan.

Wawa rewards members—both new and existing—can receive one free coffee, any size. To participate, customers must register as a rewards member before 8 p.m. today.
