ATLANTA—The Coca-Cola Company has partnered with 15 retailers to offer a free Coke Energy to customers age 18 and older. Only available today, Oct. 30, customers can receive one of four Coke Energy flavors while supplies last: Coke Energy, Coke Energy Zero Sugar, Cherry Coke Energy or Cherry Coke Energy Zero Sugar.
Retailers participating in the giveaway include Casey’s, Circle K, ExtraMile, GetGo!, Kwik Trip, Kum & Go, Love’s, Mapco, Murphy, Pilot, QT, RaceTrac, Sheetz, Speedway and TCA. Retailers are promoting the giveaways through loyalty apps, social media channels, email marketing and on digital screens at pumps. Coca-Cola is amplifying their efforts via multichannel advertising, social media, influencer partnerships and owned channels.
In January, Coca-Cola Energy, the first-ever energy drink under the Coca-Cola brand, rolled out nationwide. All four varieties include 114 mg of caffeine per 12-oz. serving, plus guarana extracts and B-vitamins.
“We’re making energy drinks more accessible and approachable to more people,” said Brandan Strickland, brand director, for Coca-Cola Trademark, in a press release about the launch. “We recognized an opportunity to meet an unmet need in the category and give more people even more reasons to reach for a Coke.”
