Fans Pick the Top 10 Gas Stations in U.S.

Kwik Trip, Hy-Vee, Sheetz, QuikTrip, Casey’s, Maverik, Rutter’s, Parker’s, Kum & Go and QuickChek make USA Today’s Best Gas Station Brand list.

MCLEAN, Virginia—Kwik Trip clenched the No. 1 spot in USA Today’s latest Best Gas Station Brand list, followed by nine other well-known brands nominated by 10Best editors and voted on by the news organization’s readers.

“Today, we measure a gas station experience by much more than just the fuel. How clean are the bathrooms? How fresh is the coffee? What snack options are available? Can I get a hot meal? These 20 brands cater to the needs of drivers in all of these ways,” USA Today said.

The top 10 winners in the category Best Gas Station Brand are:

Kwik Trip (La Crosse, Wisconsin)
Hy-Vee (West Des Moines, Iowa)
Sheetz (Altoona, Pennsylvania)
QuikTrip (Tulsa, Oklahoma)
Casey’s (Ankeny, Iowa)
Maverik (Salt Lake City, Utah)
Rutter’s (York, Pennsylvania)
Parker’s (Savannah, Georgia)
Kum & Go (Des Moines, Iowa)
QuickChek (Whitehouse Station, N.J.)

The contest began in September with 20 brands hand-selected by 10Best editors and travel experts. The 20 candidate brands were chosen for their ability to meet and exceed the expectations of today’s convenience store customer, who are looking for more than just fuel. They also value clean bathrooms, fresh coffee, impressive snack selections and hot meal offerings. The public then had the opportunity to vote for their favorite brand, narrowing the list, published Friday, to the top 10 chains in the country. All of the winners are featured on 10Best.com.
