ALEXANDRIA, VA—Retailers can learn more about NACS’s recently announced next-generation age-verification program, slated to deploy by year’s end, in webinars on Wednesday, June 10 and Thursday, June 11.
The webinars are designed to help retail operations, compliance and IT managers understand how this revolutionary system will operate and how it will benefit their businesses and the convenience retailing industry overall.
This NACS age-verification system will provide a no-cost solution that enables retailers to effectively and securely verify age at points of purchase and delivery, while staying ahead of technology. It will allow retailers to be better positioned to comply with age-verification regulations, reduce compliance risk and comply with emerging data privacy regulations. The new NACS age-verification system was created in partnership with Conexxus, age-restricted consumer goods manufacturers and a leading digital identity services provider.
“The design and development of this initiative is well under way, and now is the time for retailers to see and understand how this initiative can solve our industry needs for age verification of the restricted, legal products we sell,” said Conexxus Executive Director Gray Taylor.
These interactive webinars are open to all retailers and will be held on Wednesday, June 10 (3-4:30 p.m. EDT) and Thursday, June 11 (3-4:30 p.m. EDT). The content for both programs will be the same and will include a review of the business objectives, retailer operations, technical design and release and product enhancement plans. Retailers also will be able to ask questions and provide insights to initiative team managers.
