Parker’s Kitchen Named 2019 Southeast Retailer of the Year

Trade publication touts southern c-store chain’s progressive foodservice offer.

SAVANNAH, Ga.—Parker’s Kitchen has been named the 2019 Southeast Retailer of the Year by The Shelby Report, a trade publication for the food and grocery industry.

The publisher called Parker’s a “progressive foodservice/convenience retailer” that “keeps its eye on the basics—customer service, excellent product and giving back to its communities.”

Parker’s Kitchen, the food-centric brand under the Parker’s umbrella, serves hand-breaded southern fried chicken tenders as well as pork chops, bone-in chicken, mac ‘n’ cheese, potato logs and daily specials. In 2019, the company was honored by Food and Wine as one of America’s Best Convenience Stores, earning accolades for its Southern-inspired menu, all of which is prepared fresh on-site.
