ALEXANDRIA—It’s been five years since McDonald’s McCafé introduced a new seasonal beverage: the White Chocolate Mocha in 2013. But on November 6, Nation’s Restaurant News reports that the dry spell will break with a Cinnamon Cookie Latte.

The drink is brewed with 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified espresso mixed with cinnamon and stirred milk, then topped off with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Offered as either hot or cold, the new drink will be available for a limited time and served in special winter-themed McCafé holiday cups.

Nation’s Restaurant News also says that restaurants are bringing back McCafé Donut Sticks, which will be served with chocolate dipping sauce.

The McCafé Cinnamon Cookie Latte is $2 for a small size on the $1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu. When the Donut Sticks debuted earlier this year (without the chocolate dipping sauce), the average price was $1.69 for six, or $3.29 for 12. The new “limited time only” prices, on average, will be $1.99 for six with one packet of chocolate sauce, and $3.89 for 12 with two packets of chocolate sauce.

These seasonal additions and updates come as McDonald’s tries to remain strong in competition with Dunkin’ and Starbucks in the breakfast category.
