ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Conexxus will present a free webinar, “Web Payments Aspirations,” on Thursday, June 27, at 12 p.m. ET. The webinar will be presented by Ian Jacobs, W3C and David Ezell, Conexxus.
W3C has been looking at ways to reduce shopping cart abandonment on the web. Early results from our emerging standards suggest that checkout times can be reduced significantly—30 seconds on average, according to a Shopify study.
In this webinar, Ian Jacobs, who leads the payments standardization activities of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), will talk about the standards and how they can be used to streamline checkout and increase security.
We will discuss W3C's current work to streamline checkout in the browser, connections to standardization efforts at EMVCo, and new FIDO/W3C standards to replace passwords with strong customer authentication.
