ALTOONA, Pa.—Sheetz announced plans to add bitcoin ATMs to six stores in Pennsylvania and North Carolina as part of a pilot with Coinsource to allow customers to buy and sell the cryptocurrency, Fox Business reports.
“Sheetz is constantly innovating and pioneering new offerings to give our customers what they want, when they want it, 24/7,” Ryan Sheetz, AVP of Brand for the Pennsylvania-based c-store chain, said in a news release. “As cryptocurrency increases in popularity and demand, we are excited to add this service in our continual mission to be the ultimate one-stop-shop.”
Customers who enroll through Coinsource can buy and trade between $5 and $5,000 a day from one of the bitcoin ATMs.
As reported in NACS Daily last month, Circle K recently installed bitcoin kiosks at 20 stores in Arizona and Nevada as part of a pilot program with DigitalMint.
