Bring Your Own Cup to 7-Eleven

Annual BYOC Day on Nov. 23 hopes to fuel Black Friday shoppers.

Nov 20, 2018

IRVING, Texas – 7-Eleven stores are bringing back its annual Bring Your Own Cup (BYOC) Day for Black Friday. On Nov. 23, customers can bring in their own cup—or containers that can be used as cups like plastic hats, mason jars, punchbowls, you name it—and fill it up with any Slurpee® flavor.

“Many Slurpee fans will be out and about on the biggest shopping day of the year,” said Jacob Barnes, 7-Eleven senior category manager for proprietary beverages. “With BYOC, they can fill up with their favorite Slurpee drink to keep them going, whether it’s back out with the crowds or back home to the couch.”

The special will run from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Black Friday. The container must be leak-proof, safe, sanitary and fit upright within the in-store BYOC display cutout. So, trash cans, kitchen sinks and sleighs are not eligible, according to the press release.

The drinks will only cost $1.49—no matter the size—which is the same price as an average medium Slurpee drink. Customers who are part of the 7Rewards loyalty platform can get a slice of pizza for $0.50 at participating stores throughout the weekend from Friday, Nov. 23 to Monday, Nov. 26. The offer can redeemed once per day per customer.
