WASHINGTON – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has updated the underground storage tank (UST) section of its website with education and training materials, as well as adding new data on UST performance for the end of fiscal year 2018.

Under its UST and LUST Training page, EPA has put an Excel spreadsheet with education and training opportunities in response to stakeholders. The underground storage tank training covers:

  • Compliance
  • Financial Assurance
  • Emerging Fuels
  • State Program Oversight
  • LUST cleanup.
Under its UST Performance Measures page, the agency added a PDF with end of the FY18 performance measures. EPA collects data from states and territories regarding UST performance measures. These data include information such as the number of active and closed tanks, releases confirmed, cleanups initiated and completed, facilities in compliance with UST requirements, and inspections. The PDF report provides data in table format for all states, territories, and Indian country for the reporting period indicated.
