Love’s Travel Stops recently opened a new travel stop in Gretna, Florida, located on Interstate 10.
“The new travel stop has 121 truck parking spaces and provides free parking for Love’s customers, helping to address the national truck parking shortage. So far in 2026, Love’s has added 991 truck parking spaces across the country,” Love’s said. “This expansion directly supports the regional and national supply chain by adding essential truck parking and fueling capacity along a heavy freight corridor where reliable, clean amenities are vital for driver safety and transport efficiency.”
In honor of the grand opening in Gretna, Love’s said it will donate $2,500 each to Gretna Elementary School and West Gadsden Middle School. The company will also donate $5,000 to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The company also recently celebrated the grand reopenings of two renovated locations: a country store in Elk City, Oklahoma, and a travel stop in Roscoe, Illinois.
“Guests can now experience updated environments designed to improve traffic flow and elevate the overall shopping experience. Both locations feature fully renovated and modernized restrooms and remodeled sales floors. So far in 2026, Love’s has completed updates to 18 locations and opened 10 new stores,” the retailer said.
In honor of the grand reopenings, Love’s will donate $5,000 to the Oklahoma Health Foundation and $5,000 to the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
At the beginning of the year, the retailer announced plans to invest $700 million in building new locations and remodeling existing ones in 2026 as part of its Road Ahead Plan.
Meanwhile in Alabama, Nashville-based parent company Tri Star Energy recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new Twice Daily and White Bison Coffee convenience store in Ozark, Alabama, the retailer said in a press release sent to NACS. Twice Daily said the celebration marks the brand’s expansion to the Ozark area and adds to its 10 existing stores throughout Alabama.
“The store opening is part of parent company Tri Star Energy’s plan to convert all Southern Traders stores to the Twice Daily banner,” the company said.
To celebrate this conversion, the brand presented a $2,500 check to the Wiregrass Food Bank, a hunger relief agency serving Dale County and surrounding counties in Alabama.
In Idaho, ExtraMile Convenience Stores recently opened a new location in Murtaugh. “Exciting things are taking place in the Gem State,” the retailer posted on LinkedIn. “Located just north of the Idaho-Nevada border, this store was built from the ground up over the past year. The cozy Murtaugh community is the perfect spot for travelers fueling their journey through Idaho.”
