TravelCenters of America (TA), part of the BP portfolio, opened its new TA location in Grandview, Washington, this month, expanding TA’s presence in the Pacific Northwest.
“Located along I-82, this full-service site enhances options for professional drivers and travelers moving through central Washington, offering a broad mix of dining, amenities and essential on-the-road services,” TA said. The store offers five diesel lanes with DEF and 10 gasoline lanes, as well as 100 truck parking spaces.
The retailer said dining options at the new location include: Applebee’s, IHOP, Scratch Chicken, Spice Routh Indian Restaurant, Tacos Guadalajara, an on-site deli and a retail store with snacks, beverages and merchandise.
“The opening of TA Grandview represents TA’s continued effort to expand accessible, high-quality services across key regional corridors,” TA said.
Meanwhile on the East Coast, ExtraMile Convenience Stores recently opened a new location in Gainesville, Georgia.
“Proud to celebrate the opening of our now newest Chevron ExtraMile Convenience Stores LLC franchise located at 3610 White Sulphur Rd, Gainesville, Georgia … This is the 11th opening of the year, marking yet another step forward in expanding our footprint and delivering convenience, quality and great customer experiences to more communities,” posted Brad Wolford, general manager of sales at ExtraMile Convenience Stores on LinkedIn.
Earlier this month, NACS Daily reported that Ohio’s first Buc-ee’s is set to open on April 6, in Huber Heights, just outside of Dayton. The Huber Heights Buc-ee’s store sits on a 53-acre site, and will have 120 gas pumps, 24 Tesla Superchargers and more than 700 parking spaces.
The retailer has also filed a petition to open a new travel center in northeast Ohio near the Ohio 39 and Interstate 71 interchange, City of Mansfield Mayor Jodie Perry announced on Facebook in March, reported The Dayton Daily News.
“We are still in the final stages of the due diligence process with them, but this step makes the process more public,” she said. “A development of this size doesn’t come around all that often. It’s more than a gas station or restaurant or retail store. It’s a destination and experience that will undoubtedly make a substantial impact on our community.”
