West Virginia-based Little General Stores raised $75,000 in support of West Virginia University Medicine Children’s hospital through its Kick Off for Kids Campaign, the retailer said in a press release sent to NACS.

To date, Little General Stores stated it has donated $425,000 to the hospital. The retailer’s contributions “help provide vital care and services to thousands of children and families across West Virginia and the surrounding region.”

“For decades, Little General has been committed to investing in causes that directly impact the communities it serves. This fundraising milestone reflects not only the company’s values, but also the compassion and generosity of the entire Little General family and its customers,” the retailer said.

“At Little General, we are more than just a business, we are a part of this community. Supporting WVU Medicine Children’s means helping the children and families who need it most. WVU Medicine Children’s has touched the lives of thousands in our state, and we are honored to play a role in supporting their mission of care and healing,” said Greg Darby, president of Little General Stores.

NACS previously reported on Little General’s donation to WVU Medicine Children’s in 2024, when the retailer sold football icons for one dollar during a three-week campaign to raise funds.
