Over 1,000 exhibitors showcased products at the National Confectioners Association’s 2025 Sweets & Snacks Expo in Indianapolis this week, many of which were launching new products. Here’s a look at just a few from the show.

Welch’s Fruit Snacks launched its latest fruit snack flavor, mango-peach. According to a company press release, the fruit snack contains only natural flavors and colors from natural sources (turmeric and anatto), is gluten-free and is a source of Vitamin A, C and E.

Perfetti van Melle announced that Airheads Very Berry flavor is coming to the national retail market in belts and bites following an exclusive run at a national convenience store. The company’s Mento brand announced a new confectionary offering: Mentos Chewy Mint Discovery Rolls, which offer 14 different fruity flavors in one 14-piece roll.

Additionally, Perfetti van Melle announced the return of Bubbalicious bubblegum in original and watermelon flavors. The relaunched bubblegum will be available to retailers in November. In other gum news from the brand, the company announced that its sugar-free Trident Vibes cotton candy gum is now shipping to retailers.

Hi-Chew celebrated its newest launch, Hi-Chew Getaway Mix. The mix features three flavors: mango chamoy, mai tai and yuzu lime. The company also debuted brand new packaging and a colorful makeover to its original and tropical mix chewlets—the classic white exterior is now reversed, with colorful outsides.

Conagra Brands highlighted a number of products at its two booths. Slim Jim is partnering with Buffalo Wild Wings to offer chicken sticks, available in Buffalo style and hot. The company also introduced a new Snack Pack pudding recipe, crafted with Dove chocolate. According to Conagra, the new flavor has three types of cocoa and a smooth, silky texture, due to using twice the amount of milk as regular Snack Pack pudding.

The company also launched its new David Seeds cinnamon churro flavored jumbo sunflower seeds. Bigs Sunflower Seeds will offer a new flavor this summer: Bigs Taco Bell Fire! Sauce seeds. One of Bigs' most popular flavors—Taco Bell Taco Supreme—will be available in a new format, Bigs Slammers (2.75-ounce bags).

Other products from Conagra include: two new flavors of BoomChickaPop, mango habanero and cinnamon churro; Andy’s Capp’s cheesy tots; and Glutino wafer bites in chocolate peanut butter and pink lemonade.

General Mills Convenience debuted two new Chex Mix flavors: spicy dill and hot and spicy. “Packed with seasoned Chex cereal, mini breadsticks, pretzels and crispy crackers, these new mixes deliver an irresistible combination of crunch and bold flavor. Available in 4.5-ounce bags, they offer c-store retailers a high-impact snack option that satisfies consumers’ cravings for intense, salty flavors,” the company said in a press release.

Hershey announced a new chocolate bar on May 13: Milk chocolate with caramel. The company said in a press release that the twist on a traditional Hershey bar “adds new texture with a luscious caramel center to the classic—making snacking even sweeter, especially when there's a campfire around.”

Mount Franklin Foods debuted Stuffed Puffs Gummy Fuzions at the show. The treats “start with a sour fruity center that is first covered in a soft gummy candy and then wrapped with either a crunchy or sour coating,” the company said in a press release.

Ferrero revealed its slate of products for 2025, stating that these new treats “demonstrate the creativity, craftsmanship and quality that go into Ferrero's products, and will help drive the next phase of growth for the company in North America.”

Smarties Candy Company launched Mixed Fruit Smarties Squashies, which features a mix of orange, pineapple, lemon, lime, cherry and blackcurrant.

Industry experts at the event said that for today’s consumers, snacking is all about experience. Read more coverage of the Sweets & Snacks Expo from NACS Daily here.
