West Virginia-based Little General Stores has acquired five U-SAVE convenience store locations in Nicholas County, West Virginia, the retailer told NACS. “This expansion strengthens the company’s presence in central West Virginia and further supports its mission to provide accessible, reliable services to communities across the Mountain State,” Little General said.
The stores are in Mt. Nebo, Summersville, Craigsville, Canvas and Richwood. Little General said it officially assumed operations of the Mt. Nebo and Summersville stores on December 1, followed by the Craigsville, Canvas and Richwood locations on December 2.
With this acquisition, Little General Stores said it is reinforcing its long-standing commitment to serving West Virginia communities by providing clean, well-stocked stores, friendly service and expanded food and fuel options across the region.
“We are thrilled to welcome these five U-SAVE locations into the Little General family. Our expansion in Nicholas County allows us to serve even more West Virginians with the convenience, quality and care they deserve. Little General has always been committed to growing in ways that strengthen communities, and these new stores will help us continue to deliver the essential services people rely on every day,” said Greg Darby, president, Little General Stores.
In September, the retailer raised $75,000 in support of West Virginia University Medicine Children’s hospital through its Kick Off for Kids Campaign.
To date, Little General Stores said it has donated $425,000 to the hospital. The retailer’s contributions “help provide vital care and services to thousands of children and families across West Virginia and the surrounding region.”
