Cubby’s Convenience Stores’ recent ‘Raise Some Dough’ program raised $37,072 for local schools through the first three quarters of 2024, the retailer said in a press release. The program raised $12,889 in the second quarter and $12,889 in the third.
Cubby’s, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, began the Raise Some Dough program in June 2018 “to engage the community in giving back to local schools and youth-serving organizations. Twenty one Cubby’s locations in Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota participate in the Raise Some Dough program,” according to Cubby’s.
“We are pleased to continue supporting local schools and programs that support youth through the Raise Some Dough program,” said De Lone Wilson, president of Cubby’s Convenience Inc. “We couldn’t do this without help from our loyal customers.”
Participating Cubby’s Convenience stores donate $1 for every large Godfather’s Pizza Express or breakfast pizza sold in participating stores.
In September, Cubby’s celebrated National Truck Driver Appreciation Week.
“There are more than 3.6 million professional truck drivers across the United States. More than 80% of communities in the U.S. rely exclusively on truck drivers to deliver essential items including food, clothing, medicine, household items and more,” Cubby’s said.
Cubby’s said it “makes an effort to provide specific amenities for truck drivers, ranging from showers and dining spaces to parking areas and conveniences at the pumps.”
In recognition of truck drivers, Cubby’s offered daily and grand prize winnings to rewards members throughout the week. Truck drivers are entered into the drawings with every fuel purchase.
