Gonnella Baking Company introduced new brioche buns for c-store and retail foodservice, the company said in a press release.

Gonnella’s new brioche is certified Kosher, vegan friendly and made in sesame seed-free facilities.

The company said the brioche bun is versatile for all dayparts throughout breakfast, lunch, snacking and dinner occasions. The company developed the soft brioche to “maintain quality standards and support everything from chicken sandwiches to juicy burgers and even the sauciest barbecue sandwiches.”

“We are committed to delivering high-quality products that improve customer experiences and are proud to offer this tasty, new brioche line of buns to our foodservice customers,” said Dave Gonnella, vice president of sales for Gonnella.

The new brioche is pre-sliced and available in slider buns and 4” split-top buns. Each case layer is pillow packed.

Tyson Foodservice announced the launch of Jimmy Dean plant-based breakfast sausage patties, “catering to the surging demand for plant-based alternatives,” the company said. The new sausage patties offer a plant-based option that captures the flavor of the classic Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage patties.

“With 100% less cholesterol, 25% fewer calories, 30% less total fat and 70% less saturated fat compared to traditional meat-derived breakfast sausage, this addition aligns perfectly with the health-conscious preferences of 47% of Millennials and 45% of Gen Z, who prioritize eating healthier as their number one New Year’s resolution,” the press release said.

Parent company Tyson Foods Inc. expects the new fully cooked product to provide chefs and restaurant owners with an easy and profitable way to expand their breakfast offerings.
