Little Caesar’s Deploys Mobile Pickup Station

Pizza Portal self-serve station allows customers to skip the line and pick up their orders.

SALT LAKE CITY – Sizzling Platter, a Utah-based restaurant management company, is teaming up with Little Caesars to give Utah customers a firsthand experience of picking up their pizza without waiting in line through its Reserve-N-Ready service, featuring a new Pizza Portal self-service station.

To use the Pizza Portal, a customer places an order and prepays via the Little Caesars mobile app, and the app will notify the customer when the order is ready. When the customer arrives to the store, they skip the line and go directly to the Pizza Portal and input a 3-digit pin or scan a QR code. Then, the door on the customer's secured compartment opens, and they take their hot order.

The Pizza Portal's proprietary technology was co-developed with Apex Supply Chain Technologies, a provider of automated dispensing system, exclusively for Little Caesars.

Reserve-N-Ready combines the company’s mobile ordering, pre-payment and heated self-service pick up to create a new experience for customers. The Reserve-N-Ready system is in test in select stores and will expand to other markets later this year.
