Buc-ee’s is eyeing Indiana as its next state to enter, according to local outlet IndyStar.

“An approval process for a Greenwood shop [started] with a June 22 zoning meeting. According to a proposal to rezone land for a Buc-ee's development, the 74,000-square-foot travel center will include 120 gas pumps and EV charging stations,” the outlet wrote.

The lot is located on the southeast corner of Interstate 65 and Worthsville Road, and the development would take up 37 acres of land.

According to the IndyStar, the closest Buc-ee’s to central Indiana currently is the Dayton, Ohio-area shop that opened on April 6. It’s about a two-hour drive away.

Ohio’s first Buc-ee’s generated more than $1 million in sales on its opening day, according to The Columbus Dispatch. Local officials said it marked the chain’s strongest first-day performance to date. Huber Heights Mayor Jeff Gore shared the milestone in an April 14 Facebook post, noting that hotels across the area were sold out during opening weekend.

A second Ohio Buc-ee’s location is planned for Mansfield.

Meanwhile in North Carolina, Royal Farms announced the grand opening of its newest location in Shallotte, North Carolina, on July 13. Located at 811 Ocean Highway W., the store will be open 24/7.

Royal Farms will host a special, ticketed “Get Ready to ROFO” soft opening event on July 8 and 9, 2026, inviting the community to preview the new store and experience its signature offerings.

Also in North Carolina, Refuel opened two new locations: one in Chapel Hill and the other in Wilmington. “Our team is excited to further expand in these communities and we celebrated our 250th store with the first opening last week. Now at 251! What a growth story for Refuel,” the retailer posted on LinkedIn.

In New York, Stewart’s Shops opened a newly reconstructed shop at the intersection of Coffeen and North Massey streets in Watertown.

“At 4,500 square feet, the new shop is much larger than the previous location, featuring more space for fresh sandwiches, a large ice cream counter, plus more room for coffee, groceries and all of your favorite beverages, including a brand new beer cave,” Stewart’s said.
