Alani Nu Expands Seasonal Fall Energy Line
Plus, BeatBox is rolling out its new Xtreme Sour Black Cherry.

Alani Nu Energy is gearing up for Halloween by bringing back its “Witch’s Brew” flavor, alongside its new Ruby Apple and Voodoo Vanilla flavors.
“Since its debut in 2021, Witch’s Brew has become one of Alani Nu’s most anticipated seasonal energy drink launches, generating excitement each fall for both its nostalgic flavor and collectible can artwork,” Alani Nu said.
The seasonal limited-edition lineup includes:
- Witch's Brew: “The iconic tart green apple flavor with a warm, sweet, caramel flavor finish. Available in a 12 oz. can with 200 mg of caffeine and 15 calories as well as an 8.4 oz. can with 100 mg of caffeine and 10 calories.”
- Ruby Apple: “A candy apple-inspired flavor that pairs flavors of a crisp red apple with a rich caramel finish. Available exclusively in our Potion Pack variety pack with Witch’s Brew. Each 12 oz. can has 200 mg of caffeine and 15 calories.”
- Voodoo Vanilla: “A smooth blend of sweet whipped cream and marshmallow flavor. Voodoo Vanilla is the brand’s first-ever energy elixir, which comes in an 8.4 oz. can with 65 mg of caffeine and 5 calories. The Voodoo Vanilla energy elixir can be enjoyed on its own, used as a flavor topper or added energy boost to your favorite beverage.”
In 2025, Celsius bought Alani Nu for $1.8 billion. The brand was originally founded in 2018 by fitness influencer Katy Hearn.
At BeatBox, the brand recently launched its new limited-time Xtreme Sour Black Cherry. “The newest addition to the BeatBox lineup starts with a rush of juicy, jammy cherry flavor before delivering a punch of Xtreme sourness that takes taste buds straight into party mode. Packed in BeatBox's signature resealable carton, Xtreme Sour Black Cherry is designed for unforgettable moments wherever the party happens,” BeatBox said.
BeatBox said the flavor was inspired by consumer demand for intense flavor profiles.
Also in 2025, Anheuser-Busch announced its plan acquire a majority stake in BeatBox. Anheuser-Busch said at the time it was acquiring 85% of BeatBox for a purchase price of up to approximately $490 million, with a path to 100% ownership after five years.
Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. were the peak sales hours for packaged beverages, indicating the affinity for shoppers to start their day with a cold beverage, according to NACS State of the Industry of 2025 data.
