SEATTLE – Seattle Gummy Co. has launched an innovative, high-caffeine, chocolate-flavored gummy, which contains 100 mg of caffeine or the equivalent of a regular cup of coffee, reports Foodbev.com.

The manufacturer claims that the caffeine in each Mocca Shot gummy is absorbed five times faster than caffeine from ordinary products, because the ingredients are absorbed in the mouth, bypassing the conventional digestive process.

Currently two flavors are available: chocolate orange and chocolate raspberry cocoa, both of which mask the bitter taste of the caffeine. The product is sold in a pouch, each containing two gummies.
