Wawa has a new store in central Pennsylvania under development in Straban Township, northeast of Gettysburg, local outlet PennLive reported. The retailer is set to construct a 6,000-square-foot store and gas station.
The new location is part of Wawa’s westward expansion in Pennsylvania—the company plans to build 40 more stores in the state over the next couple of years.
Meanwhile, Sheetz opened a new store in Fredericksburg, Virginia. To celebrate the grand opening, the retailer made a $2,500 donation to the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank, which it said will be leveraged to provide another 5,000 meals.
In Alabama, ExtraMile Convenience Stores celebrated the opening of a new-to-industry location in Daphne. “The next time you make your way out to Mobile Bay, visit the friendly staff as they continue to fuel your journey and go the ExtraMile,” the company said in a LinkedIn post.
Stewart’s Shops reopened a newly rebuilt store in Rotterdam, New York, last week, according to the company. The retailer said the shop is 4,500 square feet, double the size of the previous location, with a larger parking lot and gas island. The store features made to order food, a beer cave and “more space for a wider variety of ice cream flavors and beverages.”
Royal Farms announced the grand opening of its newest location in Dudley, North Carolina will be held on February 19. To celebrate, Royal Farms will host a ticketed “Get Ready to ROFO” soft opening event on February 11 and 12, inviting the community to preview the new store and experience its offerings.
